Thanks for checking out my blog! I'm excited to share our tilted world. We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and strive to live a life that reflects His love for us and His children. My husband and I have 3 children. Derek is the oldest. He is a senior at Marshall High School. JD is in the 6th grade and Georgia is in the 5th grade. They attend at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School. While life can get quite busy we try to keep things in perspective.

Double Digits go to the Zoo
Double Digits is a group within our home school group. It is for ages 10 and up. This field trip allowed all siblings to go. We have attended the zoo quite often. Last year our unit study was life science so we purchased a season pass. We got pretty familiar with the animals, the map, when was the best time of year to go. This is a great time. Today was a pretty good day.
We had four families in attendance. That made for a fun group of all ages. Everyone had their favorite areas. To make it interesting we had the kids do an activity. They had to find animals that started with each letter of the alphabet. The only letters that we did not find were, I believe, v, u, x, and maybe y. Either way the kids did a great job and it got them looking at the signs that described the animals. Some of JD and Georgia's favorites are the monkeys, aquarium, reptiles, and birds. When they went in the Avery for the birds Georgia the birds loved her-mostly because of the nectar. In the end, a great time was had by all. We were exhausted and ready to go home.
How fun! Thank you Lord for the amazing creation of all the animals and how uniquely different they each were!
