Thanks for checking out my blog! I'm excited to share our tilted world. We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and strive to live a life that reflects His love for us and His children. My husband and I have 3 children. Derek is the oldest. He is a senior at Marshall High School. JD is in the 6th grade and Georgia is in the 5th grade. They attend at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School. While life can get quite busy we try to keep things in perspective.

For Aaron's birthday we got him tickets to see his favorite radio broadcast and show live. A Prairie Home Companion is the name of it. The show was last night. It was so fun! After listening to the show for years it was great to see them live. It's a show that involves stories from a fictional town in the upper midwest, songs, poetry, and other sorts of creativity. Garrison Keller leads the show and is a great author Aaron says. I haven't read the books personally. We saw a movie about the show a few years ago and we watched a documentary on Garrison Keller within the last year. This was definately one of the best performances we have ever seen! The theme of the concert was "Summer Love". It was great to hear stories of summer love from about dating, young love, all the way to old love.
....and then a race to get home and tucked into bed because Aaron had to be at the airport at 4:30 a.m. to get on a flight to St. Louis for his next quarter of seminary. Whew! That was a tight fit. I bought the tickets months ago( and payed for really good seats). I didn't realize he had to be in St. Louis, in class at 8:00. That was super hard to find a flight to work that in. He will be slightly late but that was the best we could do and we are thankful for them allowing him to be alittle late. I am proud of his success and that God is using him in a big way. I am also proud of his birthday and the chance to spoil him for a change!
Again this morning was talk of how great the show was and we would remember and cherish it forever!!!!! And how nice it was to enjoy a great date night!

ReplyDeleteGood luck while Aaron is out of town. I always hate being without Brad for any length of time. I'm sure your kids will keep you company!
